Terms of Use

Christian.net provides a variety of Internet services (the "service") subject to the member's (the "member") compliance with the terms and conditions set forth in this document. USE OF A CHRISTIAN.NET SERVICE CONSTITUTES AN UNDERSTANDING AND ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, YOU MAY NOT CONTINUE TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS MAY RESULT IN THE SUSPENSION AND/OR TERMINATION OF THE SERVICE WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.


Section 1: Legal Speak
1.Christian.net reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. The member's continued use of the service shall be deemed to be an acceptance of these terms.
2.Christian.net reserves the right to revise or discontinue any or all services at its sole discretion and without prior notice.
3.The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied. No advice or information put forth by Christian.net or its agents shall create a warranty.
4.Under no circumstances shall Christian.net or its agents be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages that result in any way from the member's use of, or inability to use, the service, or the member's reliance on or use of information services or merchandise provided on or through the service, or that result from mistakes, omissions, interruptions, loss of data, errors, defects, delays in operation, or transmission, or any failure of performance.
5.Christian.net's failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any term or condition in this document shall not be construed as a waiver of any term or condition or right.
6.In all cases Christian.net has the final say on what does and does not constitute an "Acceptable Use" of the service.

Section 2: Member Responsibilities
1. Members are expected to review this and any related documents periodically, and to be aware of the terms and implications set forth therein.
2. Members are expected to monitor the announcements forum on a regular basis to stay informed of important system news and service changes and enhancements.
3. Members must ensure that any and all required contact information provided is accurate, complete, and current.
4. It is the responsibility of each member to maintain their own backups of important data, including e-mail.
5. When participating in mailing lists, forums, newsgroups, etc. members are expected to obey the rules and guidelines of the venue. For example, usenet newsgroups often have charters that prohibit certain types of content.

Section 3: General Rules of Conduct
1. This is a site aimed at, and intended for, people who profess a Christian faith as defined in our core beliefs. While being a Christian is not a requirement for using this service, members must not use the service to participate in things that are considered to be contradictory to mainstream Christian ethics and morals. This includes, but is not limited to, participation in pornography, hate groups, or any other activity unbecoming a Christian.
2. Any attempt to violate the security, stability, or integrity of Christian.net's computing or network resources, or those of any other organization, will result in immediate and permanent account termination and the notification of the appropriate authorities. This specifically includes, but is not limited to, port scanning, denial of service attacks, attempts to guess or crack passwords, and the exploitation of software bugs or security holes.
3. The service may not be used in the the willful transmission, reception, or storage of illegal materials. This includes, but is not limited to, materials that are protected by copyright or trade secret laws.
4. The service may not be used or implicated in any form of illegal or dishonest activity. This specifically includes participation in such things as auction bid inflation, fraud, "phishing", etc.
5. The service may not be used for, or implicated in, "spamming", defined as the transmission or relay of unsolicited e-mail or forum postings, usually but not always of a commercial nature, usually but not always in bulk. If you operate any form of mailing list, you must add new addresses only if they have explicitly permitted it via a confirmed opt-in mechanism, and you must be prepared to provide proof.
6. The service may not be used in any way to threaten, harass, or intimidate other people, companies, organizations, etc.
